PURPOSE
As the rapid expansion of ubiquitous environment enables companies and their circumstances to accumulate huge amounts of detailed and chronological data related to business process in recent days, the society has become eager to utilize data mining in order to understand business dynamics scientifically and to discover new knowledge.
DSI program includes 1) fostering human resources who can find out business process
through scientific and practical methods in such a way that provides students
with basic knowledge of complicated statistical mathematics, data mining
and service science, 2) development of educational programs for the same.
The educational program is designed to discover inventive information from
huge chronological data of consumer behavior as a model of gigantic data
handling and analysis for understanding business process, focusing on marketing
issues.
The workshop will be held to collect a wide range of
information on cutting-edged relevant education curriculum and studies for data
mining from rest of the world so as to achieve the goal of the program.
